Birth of a River [Ice & Snow Pictures]

Lake Saif-ul-Muluk (a natural lake made from melting of glacial ice) in the Kaghan Valley, Northern Pakistan. I climbed the adjacent hill to get this pov and found the lambs as an added bonus. Look closely and you can see people on the brim of the lake where the big stream starts its journey down the valley to merge into the River Kunhar.
Hand-held, f/16, 1/320s, ISO-400 at 11mm on a Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens.
