For the month's challenge. I must confess this is an older shot. Struggling with macro at the time.... #1500942

Dale Hardin November 29, 2012

And a good subject for the challenge Elaine. A little volcano of goodness. The comp is very good and if you want to pop it just a bit, try adding a high pass filter at a fairly high setting of around 20 pixels and blend with the soft light blend.

LOL. Get our your CDs on PSE and have at it girl. :o) #10439104

Well that's interesting. Certainly very simple...i a lot of ways!

Nicely done. #10439110

Looks tasty! I think Dale's suggestion is spot on. #10439458

Makes my mouth water. I agree with Dale also. #10441905

You guys are too funny. Not appetizing at all for me. Now if it was a plate of cheese and crackers, perhaps with some wine-that would hit the spot!

I'll give it a go Dale this weekend (hopefully!). Is high pass filter the same as "screen" on PSE to lighten it up? #10442340

Dale Hardin November 30, 2012

No, it is under "filter/other/highpass" You then blend that with the original layer using a blend mode, in this case, the soft light blend. #10442359

Thanks-I'll e-mail if I run into trouble/confusion... #10442588

Beth Spencer November 30, 2012

Very simple and makes my mouth water. I think the high pass filter will help. You did a great job for all of the white, because it is usually really hard to work with. #10443768

Well I like it and it looks yummy to me! :~) I think the suggestions offered will help give this the little bit of 'pop' that it needs. The composition works well as is, but I'm curious as to how it would look with a flip after your adjustments of course. #10444386

Rita K. Connell level-classic December 01, 2012

yum.....can't wait to see dale's suggestion and I am with aimee wondering about a flip. #10444953

Teresa H. Hunt December 01, 2012

Well that looks yummy! But a little cold for a winter day.

I think your comp is really good. And working with white can be frustrating, I think you did a great job. I'm curious to see Dale's suggestions. #10445775

Ok here it is! #10447542

Sorry about this-I have three of these photos and they all look the same. Here is the original post with the high pass filter and soft light blend. #10447552

Aimee C. Eisaman December 04, 2012

Yes this looks very nice...this is one where you could take the original and do different hazy tones to give it different moods if you wanted to. :~) #10450712

Elaine. I love the monotone and the utter simplicity of this great image. You can just "taste" this -- yum... #10452755
