Description

Mosca, Colorado. Back to the archives for my photography fix. 113 in AZ today...too hot for anything out of doors. Great Sand Dunes NP has some of the tallest sand dunes in the US....750 Ft high....and you can climb to your heart's content. This was taken in August of 2009....not as hot as Phoenix, but WINDY.... Wow, this is so great, with the dramatic sky and the light on the dunes. Not a place I want to go to now, with the hot (for us) weather we've had this summer. Stay cool! #10233363

Thank you Eivor....no....not a place for right now. We were there early June returning from picking up our travel trailer in Texas...way too hot for hiking. The evening wasn't too bad though. This photo was taken in March of 2009.....actually got to do some hiking then....it is a beautiful park. Have a wonderful day! #10233453

Thank you Karen & Kitty for your very kind comments...sorry for the delayed response...am sitting in Starbucks in Canmore AB really close to Banff....our campground does not have wifi access that is reliable...so Starbucks it is....I think the next part of my journey will be even more limited...up to Jasper for a few days....Am having a great time visiting the beautiful National Parks in Canada!...Have a glorious day ...warmest regards.... #10249166
