Description

Hairy Woodpecker Daddy feeding one of his fledglings at a suet cage on my property in South West British Columbia on June 14th 2012. The year-round resident mated Hairy Woodpecker pair have three fledglings thus far and my oh my, what excellent parents they both are yet again this year!

Absolute awesome joy to watch the amazing interactions within the family unit. I so wish everyone could be given the opportunity to watch Nature at her best like I get to see over and over again daily this time of the year. I so love Springtime!
