Spotted Jelly [Carmel California Pictures]
Uploaded: June 12, 2012 17:09:40
This capture was from the Monterey Bay Aquarium. This species is also known as a "lagoon jelly" because it lives in bays, harbors and lagoons in the South Pacific. Spotted jellies have rounded bells and strange clumps of oral arms
with clublike appendages that hang down below. Check out the videos at the Monterey Bay Aquarium website...so awesome when they move.

Wow! What an outstanding capture of this unique looking Jellyfish, Reynaldo! It is really quite beautiful! Your clarity and DOF are fabulous! I hope they have them in our new Ripley's Aquarium once it's built! ... Who knows, they might have some that are even stranger and more rare, ... Believe it or Not! LOL! :D This one's definitely a FAVE for me! :) #10225873JO ANN CLEVELAND July 27, 2012

WOW The best jellyfish I have ever seen! Incredibly clear. Now I can't avoid the aquarium any longer. Thank you Reynaldo for commenting on my McWay Falls photo. I love it there. #10260667Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
