I can relate to this, because my daughter rowed crew in college, and my son is as well. So I've spent many hours watching the sport and understand it's need for teamwork and precision. Where was this taken?

I like the brightness of the blue and the vivid red jacket against the cold grey of the rest of the image.

Nice action shot. (Have they found out about you posting it?? Lol) #116405

Thanks Mary-Ella...this was shot in Ct, where I live and row (my other passion!) My husband and I both rowed in college, way back when, and have continued ever since. We're fortunate enough to have 2 clubs within 10 min. of our house! My son started last Spring and has enjoyed it enough to continue. :) I injured my back training, so was unable to row for the past 14 months..(I just started back again last week!!!!) .but spent the last couple of months going out in the launch shooting! A nice change of pace and a new perspective. A long story to a simple question...in all...rowing is a BIG part of our lives!! ;>) Where did your daughter and son row?

Sharon...you are so right...I'm so glad she has a sense of humor!!!! lol... #116522

My daughter rowed at Trinity (class of '01) and my son is just finished his sophomore year at Wesleyan. So I'm quite familiar with Connecticut too! How nice that you are able to keep up with a sport you love so much. My daughter has spent the last two years living in Japan, but is returning this summer and will be living with us in San Diego. She's hoping to find a crew club here, as she misses it alot, and would also like to keep it a part of her adult life. #116524

Small world...I went to Conn. College and regularly raced Trinity and Wesleyan...We were big rivals...I hope that she is able to find a program near home...there are wonderful club programs everywhere now, and an ever growing "masters" rowing community with races on the local, national and even world level! What used to be such an elite sport is now available to so many...it's so nice to have seen it evolve. #116540
