Thank you so much Neal & Kitty....we have two families one in each of two cardons in the front yard...hope they remember which nest belongs to which pair (LOL)....The third cardon has no nesting holes yet...maybe next year someone will take up residence. Have a wonderful day ahead! #10138007Tammy Espino May 15, 2012
Excellent capture! :) #10138391Patricia A. Casey May 16, 2012

Wonderful capture Patricia! Looks like you got these two to pose for you! I'm still enjoying spring flowers back east, although the gnats are out in full force right now. #10144315Patricia A. Casey May 21, 2012
Hi Dee....thanks so much....our flowers are pretty much done until we get a bit of rain...then some of the cactus will bloom again...but the forecast is pretty dry right now.....have a great day! #10144363Karen Bacon May 27, 2012
A fantastic composition Patricia! #10155552Chris Ebben May 28, 2012
How lucky are you to have this pair nesting in your front yard!! I have lots of birds but no nests that I know of. A well timed image=^..^= #10156813Marilyn Cornwell May 28, 2012
A wonderful image! #10156909Patricia A. Casey May 28, 2012
Thank you Karen, Chris and Marilyn for your kind words.....These are hard to miss Chris....they bore holes in the cactus and you can see them popping in and out to feed their young....This cactus is a Cardon from Mexico....I believe it is a cousin of the Saguaro....The cardon cactus grows very fast unlike the Saguaro which can take years and years to grown an inch or two when they're young. Have a wonderful day! Cheers =^..^= #10156941Terry Cervi May 30, 2012
What perfect timing and a terrific capture, Patricia! #10162165Patricia A. Casey May 30, 2012
Thank you Terry for your viewing & comments....I don't know if this is part of the same family that has been in our cardons before. This year we actually had two pairs one in each cardon....there are three plants altogether..so far one has managed to remain bird nest free....but then there is always next year! have a wonderful evening.....=^..^= #10162168JO ANN CLEVELAND June 02, 2012
