LOVE the composition Dale! #1459475Dale Hardin April 28, 2012
Thanks Kristin. Have a bunch of shots from this outing that will be posting later in my blog. #10113204Debbie E. Payne April 29, 2012
As Kristin has already said, this is a great composition. I love the color and the shine. Dare I say, this is not straight? Of course I am just joking. This way it has energy and drama. I was going to say "dynism" but the spell-checker wanted me t type in "denims". So maybe that isn't even a word but you get the gist!Rita K. Connell April 29, 2012
this is a great shot and great composition just not liking the background the picture on the upper left is a distraction and where the floor and wall dark line is a distraction for me. #10113906Dale Hardin April 29, 2012
Thank you Debbie and Rita. And Rita, I understand your concerns and had thought of changing it to create a graphic type entry. But I left it this way because of where it was aquired and the fact that I was trying to create a series that didn't get my usual large dose of post processing.
Will be entering more info about that in my blog today that will explain it all. #10113922

I would also agree with Rita on this one Dale but looking forward to the explaination in the blog. #10114236Peter W. Marks April 29, 2012
"dynamism" Debbie, you almost got it.Jeff E Jensen April 29, 2012
Well, I don't care what they say, I like it Dale! #10114279Peter W. Marks April 29, 2012
I think I have answered my own question, I'm going with a Cadillac Eldorado Seville of 1959 or thereabouts.Dale Hardin April 29, 2012
Thanks all, and yes, Peter, this is the iconic 1959 Cadilac. Here is another view taken at the same time.I have entered more in the blog at www.dalehardin.blogspot.com #10114325

This is for Rita and Sue. #10114332Dale Hardin April 29, 2012
OOPS! Forgot to post that other view I promised Peter. Darn senior moments!! #10114353Carla Capra Anderson April 30, 2012
Cool shot, Dale. There is nothing like the lines of a classic auto. Love how you focused on the tail details. I really enjoy your edited version for Rita and Sue. Your version for Peter tells a great story and the lighting is wonderful. But, its seems clipped at the bottom. Great series of images. #10114784Dale Hardin April 30, 2012
Thanks Carla. The image for Peter was limited by space. I was up against the outside windows of the room and it's the best my wide angle could do. #10114798Carla Capra Anderson April 30, 2012
I suspected as much, Dale. #10114851Michael Kelly April 30, 2012
Great shot Dale! You can almost imagine this is a rocket plane banked up with the flames shooting out nozzles in the back. Sometimes we don't have a choice and backgrounds. When we try to shoot this type of subject. I partially agree that is a little busy and distracting, but I prefer it over the replaced background. I think you did an outstanding job capturing the color. #10114943Aimee C. Eisaman April 30, 2012
Well I really like the diagnoal composition. As for the background you know I would love the replacement, but I do see your point about the place it was taken. It looks like it was in a museum of some sort and there is a bit of a story with that while the replaced background one is just nice to look at. :~) #10115074Dale Hardin April 30, 2012
It was the Peterson car museum in LA, Aimee. You can see more on my blog and will be posting new ones this evening. #10115080Beth Spencer April 30, 2012
Great shot Dale, I prefer the replaced background for Sue and Rita. I am impressed that there is so little noise for your ISO> Great Job!! #10115463Dale Hardin April 30, 2012
Thanks Beth. I was a bit surprised about the noise also, but I guess that is the norm now a days. With my old camera, anything from ISO 400 on, needed noise reduction processing. #10115485Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
