Description

High above the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon stands "Crown Point Vista House" built in 1916 as a scenic stop for travelers. It is also a memorial to Oregon Pioneers and a real tribute to the art-deco period, the outside of the dome is copper.

Thank You Zita. I took this on a road trip along the Columbia River Gorge a couple of years ago, ran across it anew recently and decided to post it. There is quite a winding road that leads to this spot; the wind blows up there with knock you over force..but with a really lovely view of the river below. #10103975
