This semi-abstract picture was taken...no surprise ;) ...in Venice, Italy.
Canon 24-105 mm f/4 L IS lens, handheld. Raw conversion in DPP and postprocessing in CS3 including NIK Silver Efex.

Exif: F Number: 8, Exposure Bias Value: -1.00, ExposureTime: 1/60 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 400, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 32.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 7D
