Sunshine on a Cloudy Morn

Uploaded: April 09, 2012 17:09:27

Description

Morning sunshine illuminates a seagull riding the updrafts, as well as the distant cape with its lighthouse, and also the white-water from the rolling Pacific waves. At the same time, the west-facing cliffs and beach remained mostly in the shadows, while falling rain was visible out to sea and beyond the cape. This peaceful scene seemed to invite a long walk on the beach, but it wouldn’t be safe. The tide was still too high… waves were still washing up against the cliffs. So Oshie and I just paused there for awhile… and watched the waves and rain… and the sunshine creep closer and closer. We both felt so very fortunate to be able to pause there… to enjoy such a beautiful place.
