Merna, don't feel discouraged, the subject matter plays an important part in the photograph and you don't always have an interesting subject available. I've been spending lots of time at a water garden that just happens to be minutes from my home, and some days the light is just perfect, the pads clean from a recent rain, and blossoms to take my breath away. At that point I will stay there in Florida's hot sun and shoot for hours. You have the eye Merna to recognize a pleasing scene but not always do we have all these other conditions right.

As much as I love being in the swamps during wading bird mating season I had to cut my project short this year and not follow the chicks to fledging since we, wife Sandy and I ran into some poisonous snakes and were not properly protected to share their space.

Thanks you Carol Q for your nice comments. #10174089
