This Union soldier was involved with the Civil War reenactment at Fort Meade, Florida. He was so enthusiastic about this pursuit and so full of great information as well that he was a delight to speak with that day. For one thing, I learned that the sky blue tunic, rather than dark blue, was not unusual and most soldiers' shirts were of all sorts and were brought from home.

What a sparkly face! I've been to several reenactments recently, and what seems to be always true is that the actors are true historians, either pro or amateur. But they are REALLY into their history and love to share it. Very cool. #1454413David Phalen April 04, 2012
