Still Water at the Dock [Low Key and High Key: Very White and Very Dark Pictures A New Way to See Black and White]
Uploaded: April 04, 2012 16:54:50
This photo, and the previous one, offer a tale of two mornings. The first from a bright, partly cloudy morning, and the second from one dark and stormy. Still water in the first, churning white-water in the second. A peaceful quietness in the first, a wild roar in the second. These contrasts are what make life and photography so interesting, are they not?
Quote of the Day: “So you enjoy living in the light, with happiness and stillness. You will only truly appreciate it after you’ve been in the dark. Then you will have true joy and serenity.” ~Author Unknown

I have often remarked that most miserable people are really HAPPY, but don't know it because they've never known REAL misery. A corollary to your quote, perhaps. Beautiful photo, Randall. #1454419Phyllis A. Houghton May 25, 2012
