Description

Ano Nuevo Elephant Seals return annually to mate.
The males arrive first, hauling out on the beaches and get into territorial fights to establish territories.
The bloody fight winners are the "alpha" males. The alpha here is boasting his victory, his bleeding scars and the territory from which another male withdraws.
