Description

This was shot at the Madikwe Nature Reserve in South Africa. The leopard is considered a prize sighting at Madikwe. We had seen the tracks of one on our morning drive but no sighting. As luck would have it, in the afternoon we were searching for a herd of cape buffalo when our tracker sighted this leopard coming down the path about 600 yards away. We sat in our Range Rover and waited for it to come to us. It walked right by us, within ten feet of where I was sitting!
