Light at the End of the Tunnel [Ohio State Pictures]

The mile long Paw Paw tunnel is one of the major features of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal. It was built to by pass some very difficult terrain along the Potomac river. It took 14 years to build and cost $600.000. For 75 yrs hundreds of boats carried coal, farm products and manufactured goods. It was used until 1924. This was taken by using a flashlight about a third of the way in.
