Uploaded: January 31, 2012 05:35:56
The Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse is a National Historic Landmark and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. The screw-pile-type structure stands in the Chesapeake Bay south of Annapolis, Maryland. Busy day today - will comment when I can. If we get lucky, it may reach 60 degrees here! Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

Fabulous capture of this really unusual lighthouse, Monnie! Terrific detail, and clarity - it really stands out against the grey, blue sky and water. It was 57 degrees here today, but we're supposed to get a bad thunderstorm this evening. #9958224Heather Loewenhardt February 01, 2012
Wow fabulous capture of detail Monnie. I would love to visit this remarkable place with camera in hand. #9959616Laura E. Swan February 02, 2012
Wow. This one really effects me looking at it. I agree with Mr Tree! (Doug)... That's the last place I'd want to be during a storm! I hope it's built on solid rock and not sand?...It must be because it has withstood the test of time!Powerful image, Monnie and you framed it just right!
