Broken Egg

Uploaded: January 22, 2012

Description

Not sure if this egg is broken from a fall to the branch,
or,
If there is a little critter inside trying to come out into the world!
We never found out what was inside.
Could have been a bird, but no nest in the tree!!!
How did it get there?
And what was in it? yikes!

From my archives!

Found this egg on a branch to the tree near our condo.
It was just sitting there on a branch with no nest in site.
If one looks closely, it is cracked on the bottom.
We never did find out what the little critter was inside...hope not a snake! #1438253

A very interesting find. NO REAL IDEA on how it got there but I'm certain it's a birds egg.

I'll go with a bird too, and also that nothing escaped from it! Very cool find, Nancy! #9935104

Easy. I know the answer. The guy next door decided to bake a cake with the window open and he tossed the egg shell out there.

Hmmmmm...Maybe not? It might be a mystery quiz for Wm! He's great at this stuff! :)

Love it!

Super find and capture, Nancy!! Thinking bird to be positive. The birdie parents ate any snakes around to protect the birdies that survived!! #9935940

Thank you for your kind comments. Am pleased that you like this image. I don't remember the name of the tree, but I will certainly try to find out. Actually there were 6 of them grouped too close together. They grow very tall, and wide at the bottom. So, since they would grow too close to the condo, the association cut them down.
