Description

Bethesda Fountain, Manhattan, NY. This is the first time I saw the beautiful lit ceiling in the tunnel. I was lucky to catch a young couple in the arch.

Thank you all so very much for the wonderful comments. I also appreciate the suggestions that it could earn more than an EP. Gosh, I hope you're right! This tunnel is in Central Park at the Bethesda Fountain. Lots of patience is needed to wait until there are few people around. Dec. is a better time for that since it's not toasty warm. There was another photographer there photographing this couple. I have some shots with him at work. LOL So I know they were posing for him and I just got lucky.: ) #9895137

One of my all-time favorite public spaces in NYC; the park as a whole is amazing of course, but the wonderful, elegant architectural plaza around Bethesda Fountain, and in particular this marvelous tiled tunnel, are standouts in the park.
