Gorgeous! Great shot, Wayne! #1942455Wayne Nolting October 11, 2005
Thank you Linda, Shelly and Sandra. You should have seen that same shot though the wide-angle lens of my instructor’s camera. It was impressive and impossible to duplicate that effect with my EFS 18-55 mm lens but I am still pleased with the way it came out except for the saturation of the white flowers. #1942539Katrina McMeans October 21, 2005
I'd love to go there some time! Looks beautiful and you have captured it so well!Wayne Nolting October 21, 2005
Thanks Katrina. It is an unusual structure because it is entirely made from rocks from the area with very rough stone surfaces making up the entire castle surface. I have to thank my photography instructor for helping me compose this shot. (It was a field photography class) #1980993Phillip R. Connolly October 22, 2005
Wayne I really like the composition and subject material in this particular shot. The warm glow of the interior lights give it that added touch. After looking at your gallery I believe you have a good eye.Phil #1982470

Thank you for your compliment Phil. I am working very hard at applying what I learned and other BetterPhoto member galleries, as well as the work of local professional photographers I am in contact with and my instructors, have inspired me try new things and experiment with new angles. It’s been a whole new world for me and I have really been enjoying it. #1984258Ellen L. Zaslaw June 13, 2006
Wonderful perspective ! Charming European flavour ! #2889132Wayne Nolting June 13, 2006
Thanks Ellen. A Photography instructor was by my side when I took that shot and was showing me how to take it with his camera. He had a wide-angle lens which actually added more perspective to the capture but this came out OK by me. This is Gillette Castle off the Connecticut River and is built entirely inside out from cement and the stones you see that came from the immediate surroundings. Ah so ... I went to the site. That's a place I'd like to go see. My friend Mikey from Durham has done some photographic work for them up there. #2891617Keith L. Clayton June 13, 2006

I love the wonderful color and texture. I really enjoyed your gallery. I wish I had more time to comment on more of your photos, but there were too many that I liked to comment on. I would be here all night. Keep up the great work. Kathy in NH #3311816Wayne Nolting September 15, 2006
Thank you Kathy for viewing my gallery. We were just up in New Hampshire for 4 days this week and you have a great State for scenic photography. The fall colors were just starting to show when we left 2 days ago and the weather is perfect for the seasonal colors. #3312772Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
