Dolmens, properly called Portal Tombs, mark burial places in a very distinctive way, with large capstones elevated at an angle and held up by huge standing stones. - HDR

Even more fascinating than Stonehenge. You found a great angle to shoot, with a beautiful sky. Nice work on the HDR. #1413067Jack Gaskin October 05, 2011 0
WOW never seen this one before. Would love to know how this was accomplished. Wonderful POV and SkyJack #9717473

Thanks Michelle and Jack! Jack I crawled under the rope fence and lay on the ground shooting upwards, used a rock for a tripod. Fortunately the guard looked more amused than upset. :-) #9717558

Wow, Stacey - as Michelle A said above, this is "even more fascinating than Stonehenge"!! Thanks for the explanation of what we are looking at here, too!! Just imagine the effort that was involved in getting those standing stones and the capstone in place - totally amazing!! :o) #9724681Stacey Williams October 09, 2011 0
