I wish I was! WOW!!!!! I think we need a field trip to Ron's house. Love those blue layers and the mountain is incredible.Just stunning. Just a thought-you might want to straighten that water line just a tad.:) #37348

This is a great image! The partly cloudy skies help control the brightness of the mountain, I think. Is this Mt. Ranier? Sorry to be picky, but I have to agree with Kathleen on the tilted horizon. It's easy to fix in Photoshop, please email me if you need help (not that I'm an expert in Photoshop by any means, but I know a few things) #105778

Ron, now you know what the guys have to put up with at Kathleen's house-picky, picky. But she's right :0) Since the water line is so obvious it does need to be straighted to make this a perfect image. This is wonderful work!! #105785

First, let me say thank you to everyone for all of your comments! I am amazed at how many of you took the time, and I appreciate it! Second, I think I got it looking better now, so I will post the "fixed" version. It's funny, I thought it looked off as well, but the level on my tripod was right on. I'm not sure how that happened but, I think I'll be testing the level on the tripod before I go out and shoot again! ;) #106002

Sorry Patrick, I forgot to answer your question! It's Mt. St.Helens #106010

Murry Grigsby May 26, 2019

Ron, the original was cropped so tightly that the repaired version really puts the top of the mountain right up against the frame. I may get stoned for this suggestion but maybe you could use Flaming Pears flood filter to redo the water at the bottom of the image? I almost like the slightly off water line than I do the scrunched mountain top. Life is so hard!! #106012

Ron Goldman May 26, 2019

Thanks Murry. I agree about the top. What is "Flaming Pears"? I've never heard of it. #106013

The first attempt was with the downsized version. I went back to the original and tried again. This was the best I could do with the frame being so full. Good thing is, It's only 30 minutes from my house, so I can always go back and reshoot it!. #106017

Here is the link to the Flaming Pear filter site:
http://www.flamingpear.com/

Their flood filter a plugin for PS and other editing software that allows you to put a water like flood over a portion of your photograph that simluates water with its ripples and reflections. You control the amount of everything with sliders. But it uses a straight line to separate the flood part from the rest of the photo. I can't remember if they have a free demo download or not? I think the filter is $20-30. Might be cheaper to drive there (lucky you) and re-shoot but does anyone ever do that and get the same shot? It's never worked for me :0( #106018
