Description

----
The Laurel Hill (Historic) Cemetery in Philadelphia is a beautiful and peaceful place to wander about, to be sure. But as a child, it would have truly spooked me to be among all the souls, no longer living.
----
This young boy had just skidded on the gravelly road and toppled over. When I checked to see if he was OK (he was fine), I said..."Do you live near here?" (wondering how he felt comfortable in this environment). He told me that he lives in Denver! I continued, "It seems to me like a strange place to be bicycling." He was quiet for a moment and then said, sadly, "My Dad works here."
----
[Just downloaded the upgrade to Nik Color Efex...this is the new filter called Detail Enhancer.]
---
Congratulations August Winners!

I have always loved cemeteries for their history and the sense of connection I feel. I think it's great that you captured a boy riding his bike surrounded by people who would probably love seeing him. #9737590
