Bright colours certainly do stand out in snow. Great shot here Phillip. Just as an aside, I'm not sure if your cruise ship will be coming into Christchurch, they are being diverted to Akaroa at the moment, because of damage to the wharfs caused by the earthquakes. Akaroa is a lovely little township though. #9643808

Nice contrast with light and shadow and the directionality of the people walking leads the eye through the frame. The splash of colour helps to add contrast and interest to the image. #9676467
