Thanks so much Michelle. These were seen at a civil war re-enactment last Saturday. #9583622

Good morning, Dale. I was just trying to catch-up on our Phellos galleries and I see you have some done some stunning images lately that we haven't seen in our Club gallery. I really like this simple but lovely lit image. Just perfect. #9585562

You're so kind Debbie. Thank you. Have been working on the images from that event and will probably post some today. It was great fun because I met a number of BP members there and collectively we learned of many more we had in common. It's a small world. #9585846

You know, I STILL haven't found any BP members in Colorado. Know there has to be some. I see LOTs of Colorado photos in BP but in following up, so far, all of them are visitors. I did find two photo groups. One is a Meet-up group and we don't have formal meetings, just events. The Civil War/American Revolution event last month was the first one. The next one is the Pioneer's Museum downtown. I missed a good one while my daughter was visiting: a trip to a salvage yard. Some of their images were amazing and I thought to myself that you guys in Phellos would have enjoyed that one, too.
Last night, at the clubs 1st birthday party, I met a guy from a 30-year old club in the area who meet twice a month; first time for something instructional and awarding the monthly theme and the second one a travelogue given by a member. Sounds like fun so I think I'll have to visit. #9585861

You may be surprised by who is around Debbie. When I post an image on contest I always peruse through the new entries. If I see something I like, and especially if it appears they may live in California, I make a comment.

Usually by mentioning that I live nearby and frequent the area, it is not unusual to get a reply. Sometimes I send a personally email if their gallery is unique and they sound interesting. Have a list of about 50 members that I've shared email addresses with.

Most of course, are one or two time communications, but others have been in contact for years. In the civil war shoot last week, it was a meeting that we had been trying to do for over a year. And by talking to others at the shoot that were obviously not just tourists taking snapshots, we met many more. #9586049

They sure don't make binoculars like this anymore. Is this metal? I think most are made today by plastic. I really need to check out you other club you mentioned to me before. #9590172

Thanks Patricia. These appear to be made from brass and were on the desk of an officer in the Union camp of the civil war re-enactment.
