Description

Weston Taylor was bested by the steer in the Steer Wrestling event. I just loved the expression on the Steer and two horses above as Weston was facing the other way. EF 70-200 F/2.8L lens a 200mm, ISO 800 and F/7.1 in AV mode to get 1/800 Shutter speed. Taken from the Pit area below ground level. I had to stand on a stool to shoot this level. Only 10 photographers allowed in pit area the preferred spot. I spent the whole day there.

You are below ground and standing on a stool and shooting while all this is going on??? Egads, I had no idea this is how it was done!!! Well, I sure give you tons of credit, you snagged yourself a wonderful shot here - the horses seem very non-plussed and it looks as tho the steer is still trying to figure out what the heck happened...I'm afraid Mr. Taylor knows exactly what happened, tho...Hope he had better luck next time up!
