Super shot Fintan. Well done. I just love this image, its almost a monochrome. Love the dirty window, really sets it off. First of many shots on here I hope. #1818881Terry L. Ellis September 09, 2005

Thanks for the kind comments, I'm delighted to be selected.I've a great memory taking this photograph, I was trying to compose it carefully, to preserve the symmetry of the windows and the lights. A little frail old lady was to my right hand side, she must have been over 80 years of age. She was captivated by my efforts and was hoping to catch my attention. When I got the shot I wanted, she approached and told me the engine was her late husbands, he was a fireman and worked on this engine himself. He bought it when it was decomissioned and he continued to maintain it. She was so pleased that someone would take trouble to photograph it. #1975392
