Fascinating info to accompany this wonderful image, Carol! The colors, tones, detail, & comp are superb here, my friend! Thanks for sharing that! #9421674Heather Loewenhardt May 22, 2011
The image itself is amazing for its lighting and detail but the accompanying story is truly an amazing one also. Well done Carol. #9421701Carol Teal May 22, 2011
Thank all of you for your kind comments! Patrick and Heather- that's why I love FL so much...you gotta love all that sunshine! #9422704frank w. degenhardt May 24, 2011
This was such a fantastic story to read, got a big kick out of it. This statue scene with the park bench and the writting on it and then boys newspapers along with the boy yelling out the headlines is such a joyful memory and feeling. I so enjoy the colors you got and the incredible finish you uses that just seems to fit the scene so perfectly my friend.James R. Jackson May 29, 2012
Hi, Carol. Love the shot. My wife and I were in St. Pete about two months ago, and I walked past this fellow several times. Great city for photos, isn't it?! #10158759Carol Teal May 29, 2012
Frank, you sneaked in here and left such a kind comment, and I truly appreciate it! James, how great you got to visit St Pete! I hope you went in the Pier while there. I have shot a couple shots of the skyline from the 2ne and 3rd floor of the Pier. I guess they are going to tear down the old pier and put a new one up before long. They say the old pier needs too much work. There are a lot of difference in opinion about the new vs the old. I think the new one is beautiful, but not sure how practical it will be.James R. Carol, my wife, Mimms, and I did visit the pier twice (enjoyed the view and the food there, and the party atmosphere on the 3rd floor). I was really amazed by the pelicans (see them "fishing" right before my eyes was really cool). I saw dolphins do the same thing along the sea wall. Mimms and I stayed at the Vinoy, which was great! I hope to go back to walk around even more of the city. #10164721Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
