Morning View

Uploaded: May 15, 2011

Description

The magnificent Biltmore Estate, seen from the "Temple of Diana" yesterday morning, before the low clouds burned off. I've been fascinated by
the estate ever since my first childhood visit, and have returned many times over the years; this time, I invited my mom along for her first visit.
The 250-room house sits on 8,000 acres (originally 120,000+ acres, much of which was later sold to create Pisgah National Forest.)

Exif: F Number: 14, ISO: 200, FocalLength: 64.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 7D

I think your composition here, Chris, is just right to emphasize the sweep and grandeur of both the estate and the countryside. #9407391
