Mother in Nature
Uploaded: September 01, 2005
I visited the "Monkey Mountain" again in Arashiyama, Kyoto. The weather wasn't so good this time around, but this fabulous moment presented itself. I couldn't believe that this mother and child were only about half a meter from us unconcerned. (slight touch up with saturation levels)

Too precious for words, and I expect that is because you have done such a good job Jason. The title draws attention to the mother first and then down to the child. Peace, karen #1793353Lori L. Thomas September 01, 2005
Great shot. I love the softness of the colors and the lighting and how the composition draws your eye right to the little one's face. #1793601Wendy Stevenson September 01, 2005
Superb timing and beautiful shot Jason! I really like the expression - so tender and human like! Nice job! #1794614Jason Gehrman September 01, 2005
Thank you Jessica, Karen, Lori and Wendy for your kind words. #1794985Tracy Reehal September 25, 2005
I too, agree with Karen and Lori. Such a soft image yet there's still such a strong focus on the baby monks face. You did a great job! #1881160Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
