Snickers Goes Formal

Uploaded: April 19, 2011

Description

This is a combination of northern light and on camera fill flash set for ETTL -1/3. The diffused flash is pointed straight up and reflecting light off the gray ceiling. I didn't do too much photoshop work here. I converted the RAW photo on it's default setting instead of auto. Auto setting made it too bright. I used photoshop curves at 56% and then used a small amout of high light protection. I am pleased with this. I'm sure that if I was to photograph a dog with black I'd have to use some sort of separation lighting on the back. He was squinting his left eye so I used "liquify" to help it open a bit. I'll attach photo with squinted eye.

Exif: F Number: 4.5, Exposure Bias Value: 0.33, ExposureTime: 1/125 seconds, Flash: fired, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 800, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 70.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark II

Snickers looks like a pro. He should be in pictures. He is a cutie. I wish my dogs would hold still long enough for a photo. Well done. #1385000
