San Ignacio Lagoon, Mexico! Yep, we actually got to KISS Gray Whales! Unbelievable! But here is the proof. I was taking shots of the other boat that this whale (we named Maytag) stayed for an hour and played with both of our boats filled with excited visitors.

WOW! Another fabulous trip and wildlife experience, Karen! I am so fascinated by whales...I would love this! Your candids are fantastic - must be hard to shoot in such choppy water in small boats! I have been on Orca whale watching cruises in San Juan, and went kayaking in BC with the Orcas, but of course we never got this close! #9323172

Thanks for sharing the fun! Yes Rona, it was very difficult shooting. Besides the movement in the boat, when the whales blow you get covered in whale snot! LOL But the hardest thing of all is trying to shoot with all the excitement of interacting with these amazingly gently and friendly giants. I can't believe any of the shots came out! LOL #9324341
