On the Radio
Uploaded: March 08, 2011
I took this picture during a performance of Brain Friel's DANCING AT LUGHNASA, the fall play at our school. The background scenery for this particular shot was sparse but distracting so I took it out before converting to sepia. I added the film grain in post-processing.
The student and I liked this so much that she ordered an 8x10 print, framed it, and offered it to her parents as a Christmas gift; she and her mom both told me her dad cried when they opened it.

Fabulous portrait work Nikki! I bet the father did cry, he must have been very proud of his daughter and you were the one who gave him that moment! She looks like "Dorothy" from "The Wizard of Oz"! :-) #1359080Datha Y. Thompson March 08, 2011

I like this very much, Nikki. Your choices in the minimal prop of the radio and the sepia tone and the grain are perfect. #9279996Mike Clime March 08, 2011
