Description

Originally taken 23/05/2010 - Christchurch Cathedral buildings in the background and even the Parking Building (3rd Floor) from which I took this view are no longer standing due to the recent Earthquake and aftershocks 22/02/2011 - Today throughout Aus, Uk, Canada, USA and NZ cathedrals and churches have observed a 2 mins silence and bells tolled in memory. A number of people were on the viewing platform of the Cathedral when it collapsed. Two people were pulled alive from the rubble of building. The platform is 30 metros up the 60m spire - UPDATE:- Search and Rescue Officials report no bodies have been found in the Cathedral rubble - wonderful news!!!
