Description

This beautiful porch extends across, perhaps, twenty rooms. In front of each room sits two white rockers so guests can relax and take in the view from the VOQ (Visiting Officer's Quarters) at Randolph Air Force Base, Texas. The site of all these white rockers set against beautifully, polished tile is not only a site to behold but it takes you back in time and quiets your soul.

Thank you, all. I am very glad that this got recognize because it was one of the only good shots I got before the "fall" last February on my infamous trip to San Antonio. By the next day all I saw was the inside of a hospital followed by two days of the VOQ (military word for hotel room) and an excruciating day of the inside of an airport and equally painful plane flight home. It took me about five months before I could even lift the camera with my heaviest lens on it. So as much as I like this image, I'm glad that it is part of my past. #9320317
