Market Color in Grenada
Uploaded: January 08, 2011
1/160s @ f/5.6, ISO 160, Nikkor 18-200 mm @ 18mm.(T&P)
St George's Market Square is very picturesque and exceptionally colorful. Although it is open every weekday morning, it really comes alive on Saturday from 8 to noon. Vendors sell baskets, spices (Grenada is known as the Spice Island), brooms, clothing, knickknacks, coconut water, and heaps of fresh produce.

Thanks so much for visiting, friends! Grenada is a very colorful and lesser known Caribbean island - the people are exceptionally friendly. Patti, we were there December 2006 - I have a whole archive of this and several other trips that I haven't done much with, so expect to see more Grenada during the winter months. We could all use a bit of color at this time! #9151842Reynaldo D. Reyes January 09, 2011
It's quite a treat to see local color and the only way to have an idea of what the destination is like is to see images like these that show what the locals do. Great image work and it's what my gallery is missing. #9151910Nikki McDonald January 09, 2011
