Description

Straightened the horizon (straighten tool), very slight crop. New transparent layer, clone stamp to remove the sun flares. Then I started trying to correct the color and became extremely frustrated. I tried levels, I tried, color curves, I just couldn't get it to work out. Finally, on a levels layer, I discovered the little eyedroppers. I know this isn't part of the lesson, but it worked for me. I tried setting the snow to white but everything became washed out. So I set the snow to gray. I found I could click on different places in the snow to change it slightly. When I liked the image, I looked at the settings. It had changed the red to 0, 1.44, 255; green was 0, 1.12, 255, and blue was 0, 0,62, 255. So if I understand correctly, that means that it just changed the midtones for each of the colors? I bumped the blue to 0.70. Then I went to the RGB and adjusted white to 242, black to 7 and midtone to 0.91. In the end, I like this a lot better but I suspect I could
