Acorn Weevil Larva

In the fall the fully grown acorn weevil larva chews a perfectly round 1/8 inch hole in the side of the nut and emerges.
If you refer to your kids as "grubs" ... you might be an Entomologist

Did you know that Jane Goodall actually named her son "Grub?" I wonder if she was an entomologist.Both of these are amazingly executed. I'll bet you picked up a whole bunch of acorns and brought them home in the hopes of being able to witness this! You must be an entomologist yourself! #9090887
