Another water drop photo taken at Judy Kennamer's during the holidays. Judy was so nice to set this up for me so I could do my first-ever water drop shots! This is two photos merged.

Terrific shot. Great clarity of the water, & nice background color. As I just got a macro & I'm beginning to experiment with it, I'm curious how you got the shot. #1332114Jeff Robinson December 02, 2010
Perfect - Great job Carol!! Maybe Judy can throw a pie in the oven and we can stop by for a photo lesson :-) Jeff #9075512Carol Teal December 02, 2010
Joshua and Jeff, first off, let me say thank you for your kind words of support! Secondly, Joshua, I can email you and give you a rough idea of how it is done. Judy is the one to ask though, as she is the one who set it up at her house. I think I can explain what we did but I can't tell you what power to set the flashes, etc. I do know Judy sent me several video links to set up other things we talked about that day, and maybe there is a video link to this setup. I can check later but I have to work this morning, so it will have to be later. Perhaps Judy will read this and chime in herself. And Jeff, being Judy is a Southern lady, I bet she can cook up a mean pie! I would be willing to bet that her cooking skills rival her photography skills.
And being a Southern lady too, I have been known to cook up some yummy pecan pies; in fact, I just baked a chocolate pecan pie last night. :) Yall could stop by for pie, but I couldn't help you as much with this photo lesson! #9075570
