Description

While this is a case of the photographer being well and truly spotted by the subject, I really feel that this is the money shot.
The man's face is full of character and his T shirt carries a real 'Ocker' message.

Shot from my favourite seat at the Crèma Espresso Bar, the best coffee shop in Port Macquarie, NSW, Australia.

Canon EOS 40D & Canon USM 100-300mm Lens: RAW, Manual settings of f/5.6 @ 1/250sec, 230mm, ISO 100, Hand held.
Lightroom 2.2 & Photoshop CS3.

THE MAKING OF 'Thirst Aid':

It was yet another Wednesday get together with my Port Macquarie Panthers Camera Club friends where we slurp coffee, eat cake, have a chat, solve all the world's problems and sometimes talk about photography.
During proceedings I caught sight of this chap and his wife walking passed after a shopping expedition and when I saw that T shirt I just HAD to make a shot. Fortunately as they drew closer I could see the text on his shirt and as I pressed the shutter he looked my way and gave me that look which is a double bonus. A nod and a wink and all was well with the world.
