Cedar Creek Grist Mill, WA

Uploaded: November 08, 2010

Description

The 1876 Cedar Creek Grist Mill rests on a steep and rocky slope at the bottom of a narrow gorge. It is the only grain grinding mill in Washington State that has maintained its original structural integrity, grinds with stones and is water powered. The Grist Mill is a working museum, showing visitors the inside workings of a grist mill of that time period.

Love the capture.. Looks as if they updated the support and water proofed the section closest to the camera. Although that section of building looks newer in general???

Happy Shooting

What seems amazing about this mill is that after 134 years it still keeps it's level integrity. What is interesting about this image is your compostion that shows the mill and its aging wood in strong detail, and you provide such a wonderul bit of its surroundings. Well done, Denny. #9035449
