Thunderbirds
Uploaded: October 08, 2010
This capture was taken at a Thunderbirds Air Show at Laughlin AFB. They are due to come back again next year with a new crew. Laughlin AFB here in Del Rio is the largest pilot training base in the world and this was a reminder this is where America's Freedom begins.

Fantastic image. Aren't Airshows great!! Tony & I went (to the one John missed out on) & never even got any lunch, once the show started we were mesmerised & could spare the time to go & get food!!! Now my computer is up & running, I'll have to enter a few to show you. Well taken=^..^= #8959163Emile Abbott October 11, 2010
Thanks Chris I know what you mean about missing lunch. I missed as well drank 6 bottles of water but still had a heat stroke in 120 degree heat on the tarmack. EMTs took me to my car in the Ambulance, cooled me down in the AC and I was fine (with a heck of a lot of great shots). I will check your site as I get internet connection (I will be down in some pretty rough canyons taking photos of Rock Art with the Pecos Experience over the next week). Rock on and loved your capture with the amazing afterburner. #8961223Phyllis A. Houghton April 01, 2012
I am in awe of your Thunderbird images. I am glad you recovered quickly and got quite a few great shots in before you had heat stroke. I've seen the Blue Angels and know what an incredible experience it is. #10071169Emile Abbott April 02, 2012
