Moira,I looked through your gallery because of your win.
I'm just a sucker for landscapes ... while i'd def hang your "painting with colors" ... in my bright white sun room ... this one would go in my library ...
mmm that is if I ever have either ;) ... we use to live in an RV ... thought we'd move back toward traditional spaces ... moved up to oregon with my daughter in her apt ... just until March ...
but I miss my RV ... I miss living in landscapes
so this one is my favorite because it feeds my hunger.
... lol ... yes we're examining our options ...
and I have no idea why i'm telling you all of this here
except that if a photograph doesn't envoke storytelling what good is it?
And that is exactly what I enjoyed about your whole gallery ... every photograph is telling a story ... and with every treatment you've applied ... you've made sure the story is strengthened.
well done
very well done
Have fun!

Hi Pam,Stories and comments like yours are as good if not better then winning a prize. You have no idea how much I appreciated your comments and your story.
Well if you do ever go back to the living landscape and an RV. I highly recommend a visit up North here in Canada, The Rocky Mountains in particular...which is where I have grown up. We have some pretty amazing landscapes, and so much better to see in real life then through any picture.
Then again perhaps you have been here already, who's to say!
I myself have to make another trip down to the USA particularly in the fall, drove through Eastern USA in October 2 years ago and it was amazing. Due to time constraints unfortunately, it became a to do "road trip". One of many....
Thank you again.
Good luck with examining your options.
I wish you all the best.

Moira,You are also a very gracious story teller!
I would love to come to Canada. My dad went up there some years ago. I've seen the Rockies in Texas and in Colorado. My dad tells me I haven't seen anything until I get into Canada. I believe him.
I think i'm familiar with your type of road trip ... very frustrating to always be thinking "oh if I could just take time to stop I could spend a week/month right here."
drop me a note any time you want someone to say "OH WOW just look at that story go there" LOL
have fun,
