This is a photo I entered a year ago in a international mining competition by a company in Australia. It did not win a cash prize but this image was chosen as one of the 67 finalists. The winners and finalists were displayed in an exhibit celebrating the mining industry and shown throughout parts of the world. The photo was taken at a local limestone quarry (FL) and is an image of limestone screenings at sunrise. The image has had only minor color and contrast enhancements.

When this image flashed by as I opened another one, I had it pegged as an egg case by Patrick. Funny, I think. But this is actually an amazing shot. Congratulations on it! #8864130Nikki McDonald August 27, 2010
