Hi Barbara,

This photo reminds me of a photo I took on one of my trips back east to visit my family. I took a picture just as the sun was setting from the plane. I was in mid flight though. I am surprized the airline attendants let you keep taking pictures even when landing. Every time I try, they tell me to put my camera away (no electronic devices can be used at take off and landing). Thats too bad because I can't see how a camera could mess up the aircraft's navigation system. Anyway, the colors are stunning in this photo. Mine is not quite as stunning due to lack of clouds, but here it is, the only one I ever took. I used a Canon G1 I think for this shot, in 2001, so it was an older shot. This also reminds me of the sky I shot last month when fishing at the lake. Since you work for an airline, do you know what kinds of cameras are OK and not OK to use? I am going on a trip to Vietnam in October, and I really want a photo of the Saigon Skyline just before touch down. I have everything from disposable film to my Canon 20D.

Take Care,
Roger :-)

PS...I am planning that trip to Mono Lake this fall. I figure all I need is 4-5 days from Oregon. I could not find it on the map (Rand McNally), so I found it on the internet. I envy you being able to live there :-) #283497
