View of Carpenter Lake
Uploaded: May 12, 2010
Carpenter Lake is part of the nature preserve. In the 1940's the lake was originally used as a watering place for cattle. It was dredged and redone to make a better home and sanctuary for wildlife. Some of the area's inhabitants are turtles, frogs, dragonflies and channel catfish to name a few. The tree here looks like it broke off at the base and fell in the lake.
Very peaceful area!
