~Travel and Place~I spotted an ancient Aboriginal rock carving beside the road just before we crossed a one way bridge near the little village of Wollombi situated in the Lower Hunter Valley of NSW Australia.
Wollombi was a major focus of Aboriginal culture and home to over 300 Aboriginal sites dating back over 13,000 years. I see a hand, a dirt road, trees and a foot so I think it means "Keep Out, this is our territory" and thousands and thousands of years old. Thankyou for looking! ~Pat and Graham

Thankyou so much dear Patti! Wollombi is a favourite village of mine over here. It has the population of one hundred people so you can see how small it is. The folk are so proud of their heritage.

Their past has much meaning, they have a historical museum where one can spend hours too.

Best wishes - ~Pat
