From my yard, unfortunately I've lost track of this rose and can't remember which one it is!
Here's what I did:
Crop
Levels
unsharp mask 20,50,0
Topaz
Lots of layers using grunge brushes of different colors and different blend modes at various opacities. I erased most of it from the flower with a soft brush.
Textured and then erased from the flower
darkened edges to give a bit of a 3D look
Curves
Exif: F Number: 4, Exposure Bias Value: -0.33, ExposureTime: 1/400 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 100, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 75.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 50D

Ah, love what you did to the background, Dianna. You started with a beautiful flower photo, then improved on the presentation. It often takes darkroom talent to make a better photo. Well done! #8573333
