Hurry Up & Shoot!

Uploaded: September 29, 2009

Description

Lads and lasses of BP, meet ScarBack. He's one of the fine fella squirrels that I regularly shoot, and not unlike The Bold One and FauxBold, he will also take the nuts from my outstretched hand.

But he doesn't like to sit quite as close, so you'll probably not see one of those 'paparazzi-in-your-face' captures like you do with my gals.

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: -1.33, ExposureTime: 1/50 seconds, Flash: did not fire., ISO: 400, White balance: Manual white balance, FocalLength: 105.00 mm, Model: NIKON D40

I just got done saving the life of one of these guys. The neighbor's dog had it cornered behind some ladders by my shed and I grabbed the dog by the skin of his back and the squirrel ran over my foot and missed the tree entirely, so went for another tree with me dragging along behind the dog. He just made it. Lucky for me, the dog likes me. LOL #7994099

You do have a way with your little buddies Tess. A real reward in itself to be an naturalist even in the city where even the smallest of animals have a place. Here in Arkansas wild turkey and deer are the normal running across our front lawn. #8003802
